If you hire me, along with making you a beautiful website that is functional and helps to bring your business more work, I will:
Charge a one-off design fee to keep things simple - I don't have any hidden costs or hourly charges
Offer prices that are reasonable and design you a site that is completely unique - have a look at my previous work to see how I don't just copy one template
Build your site from scratch so I fully understand the code that makes it, which leads to a website that works well and will last
Clean design
Clean and simple designs give emphasis to content and don't become outdated as quickly as cluttered ones. I work with my clients to provide what they want - you can have as much or as little input.
Affordable prices
I don't charge per hour and give a fixed one-off design fee and hosting price before I start. Every job is different so you will need to contact me for a quote but as a rough guide the price per page will usually be between £50 and £100.
Search optimisation
A website is useless if no one can find it. My sites a naturally well performing due to their focus on quality design and content, but I offer additional SEO services to improve your visibility further.
Performance & function
I normally host the websites I design myself so I can guarantee fast loading times and reliable uptime. I can add a contact form, ecommerce system or other dynamic content to your website no problem.

Space & Style Home Design
This website was built for a local Architectural Service based in Gosport. It replaced an existing website that the owner had built himself.
Prime Timber
The owner of Prime Timber wanted a clean and unique design instead of a standard template design many other local web design services offer.
HCCoils Ltd (under construction)
HCCoils Ltd are a Gosport based engineering firm that wanted a redesign of their existing site to make them seem bigger and bring them more work.
Why good design matters
A well designed website gives both a better impression to your potential customers and makes it more likely for them to contact you. Many web design firms offer very cheap prices but build sites which are made with minimal effort and little thought to your business - often using the same templates and low quality content. They often charge monthly prices which work out more expensive in the end and charge extra for anything and everything they can once you are with them. If you come to me, I will charge you a one-off design fee which is still good value for money but leaves you with a beautifully designed website.
How to spot good design
A lot about design is subjective but there are some clear ways of easily determining good and bad design work. A good design has been thought about - from fonts to spacing, colours and how people use the site. Some easier things to look out for are:
Clean URL's - many cheaper or outdated designers use 'ugly' URL's, for example 'www.domain.co.uk/en/about/index.html' when this should be redirected to 'www.domain.co.uk/about/'. Google likes clean URL's and they're easier for customers to remember, so make sure your web designer uses them.
Responsive Design - Accessing the site on a small-resolution device should result in a different site. Resize your browser window as if you're on a mobile device, does the site resize dynamically to make it easier to navigate? Try it with this site.
Unique design - a website designer should be capable of designing different layouts and styles of site. If the design of all their sites follows one template - make sure its a good one!

A bit about me
I am currently studying Engineering at Cambridge University and return to Gosport each holiday. I have lived in Gosport and Lee-on-Solent most of my life and know the area well. If you are worried about my commitment to your website while at university then, rest assured - the fact I'm studying means only lower prices and not lower quality. If you're still not convinced give me a ring and I'll explain a bit more.
I am a naturally logical person (hence the Engineering), which helps with the construction of my web projects and made learning how to build them easier. However, I also enjoy the creativity needed to design a website in the first place.
How to get started
If you're interested in me designing you a site contact me on 02392525100. I will give you a quote based on how big your site is and what it will do and then arrange to meet with you. To build the site I will need to have any photos or text you want to include as well as any logos or other relevant information about your business. It is often useful if you can show me other websites that you like.
Updating your site
For those clients who want it I can implement a simple Content Management System (CMS) that allows you to edit the text and images on your site, create some new pages or check how many visitors your site is getting.
